With proper maintenance refrigeration systems should be expected to last twenty years or more before needing to be replaced. However, that doesn’t mean a fixed gas detection system does not need to be in place. It can be easy to overlook a small discrepancy or to miss a loose fitting especially in a large commercial refrigeration facility.
